I am a strategic, creative, product designer with an eye for innovation and detail. I have always been interested in how things work, and creating things and this naturally lead me down the path of product design. I spent 4 years at Brunel University developing my skills as a creative thinker and problem solver. I spent 1 year of this working for a VAS, a lighting company in China. In my final year at Brunel I developed a device to help women determine their babies milk intake during breastfeeding, a project that was featured in several national newspapers and online blogs. Since graduating I have been working as a Knowledge Transfer Associate for Solar Capture Technologies in partnership with Northumbria University, with the aim of bringing strategic design processes and an innovative culture to the business. This has made me appreciate design as a strong tool for business as well as helping me gain confidence in my skills as a product designer and thinker. This has been reinforced during my Masters studies at Northumbria University. I have extensive experience and expertise, but my the thing that interests me most about product design is being able to solve problems in a creative way that empowers the user to achieve something better than they could do before.
