For me, it is a great time to be a designer. I will always strive to connect with the things that challenge me and provide new insights. I'm always looking to broaden and develop my skill sets. I want the things that I create to have a positive, developing impact on the people that use them. And I'm elated that we are seeing more and more end users who want to connect with great design.
I started in my career as a Furniture Designer. Quickly, I learned that good design, of any discipline, is focused on the needs of the user and reactionary to those needs. It is then tested and tweaked until the right solution is found. Whether the problem is big or small, this method is applicable. I've grown to appreciate the importance of this process, and I strive to employ it in all of my design work.
