Design * Developed print apparel with studio founder.

* Developed products from concept to sample for international customers. * Conducted meetings with marketing managers regarding both design strategy and requests for designs and products to be marketed to domestic and international customers (i.e., bedding, table tops, kitchen, window treatments and curtains, decorative pillows, bags, and laptop covers). Worked closely with marketing and sales teams. * Developed products for hotels within Nishat's portfolio of companies. * Managed design department, maintaining rigorous standards of professionalism consistent with contemporary design studios in the textile industry. * Gathered design concepts for the design team to produce trend right and colors to compete in the international market. * Developed Dobby designs and devised stitching specs for my stitching team and Nishat's weaving mill, instructing them in making products that are desirable, presentable and in compliance with international standards. Disseminated new concepts and themes to development team for sales to global customers and markets (e.g., USA, Europe, Australia, Scandinavia, Middle East and the UK). * Led a production team of twenty members, comprising members of the departments of design, stitching and sampling. * Used in-house facilities efficiently for developing Nishat's products (i.e., weaving, dyeing, printing, rotary and digital printing, stitching, multi-head embroidery, etc.) (vertical mill). * Sourced material and fabric for embellishments and confection. * Prepared and attended local and international textile events (including USA Market Week). 2

* Taught textile and surface-design course. * Developed curriculum and coursework related to textile design, including computer design, home furnishings, apparel, basic color fundamentals, basic weaving, comprehensive textile design, yarn dyeing, basic drawing, and sketching. * Taught the Technical Educational and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) government program.

* Served as designer in charge of product development, new designs, and coloration for handmade carpets. * Worked closely with overseas suppliers.
