#FabricStudy
This study of fabric explores how light and shadow falls across folds. Using a subtractive technique, I first covered the paper with charcoal, then carefully erased lighter areas to reveal the soft, flowing form of the drapery. This process allowed me to capture the texture and depth of fabric, emphasizing the delicate variations in value that bring volume and realism to the piece. This work is a practice in aiming to understand how light interacts with different surfaces.
