Naji Shadeed is currently a senior at the University of the Virgin Islands majoring in Humanities and Education. Throughout his years of attending college, Naji collaborated with professionals in several different industries allowing him to harness a wide scope of knowledge, experience, and skills. In 2012, Naji founded a local energy services company specializing in energy conservation services and solutions. During this time, Naji acquired a significant amount of knowledge and experience in the Electrical and Renewable Energy Industries. He has been a contributing energy consultant in the USVI and BVI guiding many local businesses and homeowners to sustainability.
Graced with an interest in electrical engineering and renewable energy, Naji spent a lot of his time training as a product analyst with Sun Blaze VI (SBVI). Sourcing, sizing, and specifying state-of-the-art, technologically advanced electronic products and electrical materials for residential, commercial, and government entities was one of his many assignments at SBVI. In addition to this, Naji served as the principal analyst and system designer for solar applications and LED lighting applications including outdoor and indoor lighting applications. He has an extensive amount of experience sourcing energy efficient products, materials, and solutions for: energy consultants, electrical engineers, electricians, architects, contractors, government, and commercial and residential sectors.
Fields of interest include: Energy conservation, lighting consulting, solar consulting, electrical products and material sourcing, advanced sourcing for energy efficient equipment, electrical project management and upgrade services, solar electric design & installation (off/on grid Renewable Energy), Renewable Energy maintenance, LED Lighting application (analysis/design/training/installation), Electronic product sourcing and analysis, environmental studies, sustainability, administrative procedures, business development, web designing, and communication.
Employed as a Research Assistant with the GeoCAS Institute, working on Water-Energy Nexus Sustainabiltiy Systems.
