Achievements
Directing industrial design across multiple disruptive products including IoT smart home systems, medical devices and wearables, seeing many products go through to prototype and production.
Expanded the company's capabilities into the design and prototyping of soft goods, including establishing new client and supplier relationships in both domestic and international markets.
Led the company in their knowledge of cultural trends and forecasting, establishing a process for understanding and using megatrends to better serve our clients and deliver future proof product solutions. I also provided regular company wide training sessions and seminars on global trends.
Established and maintained a Colour Material Finishes (CMF) library, keeping up to date with the latest CMF trends and technology as well as training staff in new findings.
Established and implemented processes for usability in both regulated (e.g. medical) and non-regulated (e.g. consumer) markets. I trained staff in best practices, designed easy-to-use guides, and successfully implemented and refined the processes through client projects.
Contributed to public knowledge and company marketing through informative blogs on megatrends and how to successfully use them in product development.
Invested in the future of design by holding engaging studio tours and presentations for university students.
