About
Ever since I can remember, I have always loved to draw. I guess my passion for putting pencil to paper was what really sparked my interest in becoming a designer. When I wasn’t drawing at school, I was drawing at home, spending many long hours on my knees at the coffee table. Although I hated the pain and loss of feeling from sitting this way, it seemed oddly natural, and in the end I was always more focused on the paper in front of me. This ability to focus intently on a drawing led to a high attention to detail...a trait which I would carry on through my designs in college, as well as my professional design career.
Since graduating in 2017, I have been working in the exhibit design industry; refining my skills and learning new software to better equip myself to suit client demands. -

As a student in the Honors Program, this gave me a unique opportunity to work with colleagues instrumental in its development, and I now have a better understanding of its importance as a result.

Meat Department AssociateJun 2015 - Aug 2015 (2 months)As an Elden’s Associate in the meat department, my duties were to stock the shelves in the meat, deli, and frozen sections while also assisting with other duties given to me by the department manager such as breaking down pallets and packaging and labeling products. Growing up in Alexandria, I got to know the owners of Elden’s Fresh Foods very well, and I was hired not only for this reason, but also for my connections with many of the employees through high school. This made my work environment very enjoyable; inspiring me to open up and go out of my way to please each and every customer.

Radon Mitigation AssistantLakes Area Radon ServiceAlexandria, MNJun 2010 - May 2015 (4 years 11 months)Working in Radon mitigation, my job was to assist in the installation of Radon mitigation systems in households throughout the state of Minnesota. I was also involved in the testing of Radon levels within homes to determine the threat level to home owners, and if mitigation was necessary. This job provided my first experience with customer relations, and allowed me to become more comfortable with the responsibilities of making sure the customer is satisfied with our work.

This job further strengthened my ability to converse with people in a helpful and professional manner, as well as my confidence in meeting new people.
