Favourite work from university. Mostly conceptual work, existing as foam models or renders, with the exception of the M2A1 chair which I built myself.
Final chair model. While I use a lot of renders this is actually a photo of a full scale functional model. Built from birch plywood, then sealed, sanded smooth, and painted.
Personal Home Products: M2A1 Chair - Near the end of concept development, I created a series of simple 3D models based around a specific seat height and size.
The topmost model was the concept created prior to the final, a large faceted lobby chair made of concrete. Since I had to physically build the chair for the project, I had to find a way to make it lighter and cheaper, while retaining the same essence.

Evocative Forms Project: Eva Infernus - The final concept: An indoor heater, inspired by the flow of fire. Air is sucked in through the louvers and blasted through the front grill. The glowing strip along glows brighter at higher temperatures, providing visual feedback.
Evocative Forms Project: Early Sketchs - Some of my early process for this project. Pencil sketches exploring different configurations of louvres and vents, to express air flow and heat
Communications Project - A 3rd year project, done with fellow student, Silvan Linn. The deliverables were quite open, so we used the opportunity to explore mutual interests in bleeding edge tech and aesthetics

The sketches on this particular board are mine, although my partner and I drew many iterations on the path to the final concept.
iSo end table - 3rd year collapsible furniture project. The legs fold and lock beneath the top surface for easy storage.
Kamikaze Guitar - 2nd Year Form Project:
The name came about after joking about how you'd likely die and/or maim someone trying to play it. However, during the project I built a full scale model out of trusty pink foam to make sure it was actually comfortable to play (standing up and sitting down) despite the exotic shape.
I built a Solidworks version of the guitar from a Gibson SG, which was used for the renders.
Congress Signage - Minor project for the carleton academic congress. One of the winning entries.
