I have lived my whole life knowing my goals. I am here to help fight for and protect the environment and its animals. I am lucky in that the majesty of the wilder world and the strength of my family has been a consistent force from kindergartern to university graduation.
That being said, I am a recent graduate of the University of California, Irvine with a double major in English and Environmental Sciences. I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Scotland and travel to numerous countries during my undergraduate career, and get an introduction into many of my far-ranging interests, from history, policy, art, music, conflict resolution, design and international dialogue and cultural interactions. While my degrees were on opposite ends of the academic spectrum, they both utilized a variety of approaches, topic and geographic regions as sources of information and inspiration.
I envision myself as an Environmental Journalist, or some type of creative professional who advocates for the environment. I believe that this will combine my passion for animals and the outdoors, and my creative, hard-working, independant spirit.
I currently am a Communications Intern for the Wilderness Society in Washington DC, but I welcome any future chance to utilize my skills and devotion to fight for the environment and its citizens.
