My name is Molly Weiner and I graduated this past June with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Digital Media from Drexel University. My time at Drexel was not only valuable because of the software and programming skills that I learned, but also because of the core skills that we were taught in the areas of film and fine arts, as well as the emphasis placed on learning to teach ourselves and on the need to continue our education post-graduation.
This program focuses on 3D modeling and animation, game development, and web design. I learned programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Maya and Matchmover, Nuke, and Protools, as well as programming languages that include HTML5, CSS3, and ActionScript 3.0.
For the last eight months at school I worked with a team of four other people creating a 3D puzzle-based adventure game for the iPad. My role on the team was to create the 2D graphics and animations, from concept to completion. Additionally, I have experience working on a game called Traveler's Quest, created by Kitty Code, LLC, which is currently available on the iPhone. I created 2D graphics for this game as well.
I currently serve as Managing Editor and Graphic Designer for Fighter 411 Magazine, the exclusive guide to all things MMA in South Florida. Here I oversee all aspects of writing, editing, and publication. I also create promotional materials, posters, and advertisements, as well as writing content.
