Marisally Santiago

I use my 20+ years of experience in the signage design industry to provide clients with environmental graphic design, sign design, wayfinding systems design, and sign planning along with a variety of other design services.

I was the lead production designer responsible for review and modification of client concept drawings into shop/working drawings. My duties included figuring proper fabrication for highly themed exterior signs, displays, exhibits, and large format graphics. This experience provided me with extensive, "hands-on" knowledge of fabrication techniques and materials. My responsibilities also included creation and set up of files for CNC routers, lasers, and plotter machinery as well as management of projects from setup of schedules and assembly of key team members to figuring raw materials, keeping client contact, and supervising all steps of project from sample submittals thru fabrication.

I provided architectural sign design, sign planning and wayfinding system development as well as detailed shop drawings for use in fabrication of signage for various facility types. I also project managed projects from concept thru final installation ensuring proper delivery timelines where met and issues where resolved in a timely and effective manner.

An environmental signage design firm where I specialized in the design aspect of architectural signs and sign planning for various facilities with a primary focus on the cruise line industry. Part of my work also included the development of detailed drawings for fabrication of signs abroad.

I was a member of an in-house art department responsible for all marketing and product related designs such as packaging, catalogs, promotional items, display & exhibit graphics, and marketing materials. A special attention to design continuity for existing brands and development of new design directions for new brands were key in order to maintain established company standards.

My responsibilities, as the in-house graphic designer, was to design large format graphics and vinyl applications as well as create layouts and drawing details for architectural signage. Design and fabrication details for architectural signs required compliance with municipality and landlord sign ordinances. Part of my work required working directly with customers on sign aesthetics and function as well as shop personnel to ensure proper fabrication techniques.
