Corporate design position working on varying design projects. Creating print and web graphics for internal and external clients. We have our own private brands as well as working with national suppliers for the foodservice industry. We are the largest co-op foodservice supplier of products and services in the world.

Responsible for working on all projects that came into our department including catalogs, resource guides, ads, one-sheets, cut sheets, project profiles, layout guides, logos, photo editing, trade show materials, and promotional items. Responsible for working on many brands that our company owns, so working on many different projects at a time was commonplace. I was responsible for press checks for catalogs as I had experience in the department. I have traveled to several places across the nation to meet with our different divisions and printers. I was responsible for editing and creating ads across all brand channels and trafficking them to their various publications. I took lead on many projects during my time with Oldcastle. I also took lead with maintaining our equipment, supplies, and service.

We produced a wide variety of products from gift wrap, greeting cards, stationery, calendars and so much more.

I worked with the creative director and design managers on many different accounts. I produced design work but my main function was to put the mechanicals, finished files, together for actual production. I made sure our creative standards were met and if not, corrected them. Upon completion of these processes and checks, files were prepared to upload and ship to the printers here in the US and overseas.

I oversaw the production of six monthly publications and websites. We published five tabloid-size newspapers for the U.S. retail grocery/suppliers industry: The Shelby Report of the Southeast; The Shelby Report of the Southwest; The Shelby Report of the Midwest; The Shelby Report of the West; and The Griffin Report. We also published Sunbelt Foodservice magazine, a metro-size magazine for the restaurant/food service industry with coverage and distribution in the lower east-coast Sunbelt states and across to California.

I managed two graphic designers, one strictly print and the other print and web. My department and I supported salespersons and regional managers, as well as our editorial department, headquarters, and our president and owner. I reported to the president and owner.

I directed the flow of pages between editorial and production and maintained the working relationship with our printer. I managed all print projects as well as helped direct web vision. I created ads, artwork, logos, etc. for our publications.

I oversaw IT, hardware, software, and IT service provider management for our company. I was the point person when problems arose. I supported 8 Macintosh workstations and 9 various PC desktop and laptop computers for the rest of the company.

Created layouts, designs, logo creation, photo editing, print design-heavy, pre-press specialist, artwork creation, marketing, and promotional items, some web. I used all of my skills to flesh out brochures, posters, postcards, promotional items, department catalogs, invitations, newsletters, artwork, web page graphics, etc.

All forms of graphic design to include layout, design, logo creation, photo scanning-manipulation-cleanup, print design-heavy, pre-press specialist, artwork creation, marketing, and promotional items. I use all of my skills to flesh out brochures, posters, postcards, promotional items, department catalogs, invitations, newsletters, artwork, web page graphics, etc. Also was a marketing assistant producing leads reports and reported directly to the Vice President of Marketing.

I was a graphic designer for "The Real Estate Book" published by Network Publications, Inc. They were a part of Network Communications. We designed and provided a layout for the many different versions of The Real Estate Book that included the US, Mexico, and Canada.

I performed many duties here: proofreader, paste-up, layout, design, paper cutter, stat camera operator. All of these duties were for the layout and setup of business cards and invitations, printed paper products.
