Above all, this job has taught me to utilize my interpersonal skills while working quickly and efficiently. It is a job that reflects how well you react with a variety of different people, it also greatly exercises my patience and efficiency. In addition, I create internal advertisements for ongoing events.

A small, but oh-so mighty advertising, branding & interactive company. I spent my summer as a graphic design intern where I re-branded, blogged, designed product label mock-ups and was involved in various new-client pitches. In the crazy world of advertising, it was a great opportunity to be submersed in it all at once!

As a graphic design intern, I worked under some very talented and creative people who gave me valuable insight on strategy, collaboration, brainstorming and conceptual designing. Throughout my time at Root, I was exposed to many companies like Hilton Hotels, Petco, Old Navy, Taco Bell and more. I was the lead designer for a project for Petco; which hosted a training event for 1200+ General Managers in Texas.

After 4 years of service I was promoted to Banquet Captain at age 20. I managed and supervised staff with a positive and energetic leadership style. I was responsible for coordinating banquet events, instructing servers and providing quality customer service. In high stress situations like weddings, I maintained a positive and professional attitude. This job taught me to be willing to give 110% to get the job done, work overtime if necessary, and successfully meet deadlines.
