Senior Design Lead / Creative Director (since 2009)
Hewlett Packard
Jan 2004 - Nov 2012 (8 years 10 months)
Dual role: leading cross disciplinary design programs for one on the business units that our group supports, as well as acting as a creative director for the ID team
Responsibilities range from Personas Research to defining the User Experience, tracking team progress on a specific program and presenting to the Business Management Team, developing Industrial Design all the way to manufacturing, translating Marketing needs into action plans, defining design language guidelines, managing outside vendors, identifying and solving problems with other teams in the R&D community, working on Company-wide initiatives and alignment projects.
Key contributions:
•managing the whole portfolio for a sub-category of products that won multiple design awards and recognition from the press;
•drastically streamlining our design processes to respond to new financial pressure in the business unit, at the same time reducing time to market;
•driving multiple innovation projects to generate momentum and support towards the creation of a new product line, to target new market segments; these efforts eventually lead to full support from the BMT and the development of the Award winning ENVY 100 printer
