Marketing Coordinator
VoltDB
Oct 2012 - Sep 2014 (1 year 11 months)
VoltDB is a fully durable in-memory relational database. It combines high-velocity data ingestion, massive scalability, and real-time analytics and decisioning to enable organizations to unleash a new generation of applications that act on data at its point of maximum value. Organizations in markets ranging from financial services and Web media, to public utilities and national defense, use VoltDB to narrow the “ingestion-to-decision" gap from minutes, or even hours, to milliseconds.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I connect with an outsourced group of Marketing/PR professionals to help in VoltDB's marketing efforts, as well as analyze current and past marketing strategies. I then present what is successful as well as what needs more work.
I also help on the community side, where I help create lists of active and promising tech meetups. After a review, I contact these targeted groups to schedule live events where VoltDB will present and teach about our product. I will also help with occasional blog and/or forum maintenance.
I have been highly involved with inbound marketing. This includes creation of landing pages, forms, and mass emails. I have also been learning both Hubspot and Salesforce, and have performed many tasks in both.
As a marketing coordinator, this position will expose me to not just one marketing aspect, but a wide array of marketing and PR functions, from PPC to Video to Live Events.
