I'm Michael Lauritano and these are the tools I am using in the effort to become your new favorite illustrator.

I love well-made picture books, and pretty much every other form of narrative creativity. I have a broad imagination, the critical thinking skills necessary to put it to good use, and more ideas than I know what to do with. These facts about who I am were cemented at my alma mater, The Rhode Island School of Design.

I am currently a graduate student in SVA's legendary Illustration as Visual Essay MFA program. At the moment, I live in my Manhattan studio space and sleep in my apartment in Queens, when convenient.
