Mishael Santos

I am a layout artist, illustrator and graphic designer by way of Calgary, Canada, Dubai, United Arab Emirates and now Richmond, Virginia. My unique experiences have given me a passion for design in its ability to transcend cultural and verbal barriers and connect with any audience.

For me, the creative process is almost a way of life. It is the creativity with which one presents themselves to the world around them, both to fit in and stand out. My goal is to always create a professional product that captures the mind and the imagination of those that see it. As Jerzy Kosinski once said, “The principles of true art is not to portray but to evoke.”

With every project I bring enthusiasm to the table and the drive to succeed. I am always open to new challenges and to broadening my horizons. I enjoy bringing fresh and creative solutions to every project. I am a hard worker and do not shy away from difficulty. And when I am given a project, I do not seek to simply finish it, but finish it right.

Emile Zola once said, “The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without work.” This is my motto. I try to mold my gift into success, no matter what task I am given.
