I am enthusiastic about computer games and I have been playing a lot. But playing has felt a bit too pre-designed and static. I have always wanted some more. This was the reason I borrowed a book about BASIC that was aimed for highschoolers when I was eight. I had no clue that I needed the editor and compiler so I ended up trying to reproduce the end results in a DOS command prompt. I had to wait five more years to be reintroduced to BASIC and to be able to actually start programming. Being able to create something new was amazing.
Since then I've developed my skills at creating things even further. I have taught myself programming and made it to my major. At the same time I have introduced myself to drawing and digital painting and now 3D modeling.
I'm studying at Tampere University of Technology but at the moment I'm doing my exchange studies at Ulster Unversity.
I'm currently working as a member of an agile software development team where I push my skills even further. Team work is crucial as the projects are huge and challenging. But my real goal is to become a game and ultimately an engine programmer.
I have always been a huge fan of co-operative games. One of my favorites is Artemis – Space Bridge Simulator. An indie title really worth looking up.
