HEVC Kvazaar hardware acceleration on FPGA
HEVC Kvazaar is an open source video encoder. We profilied the most computationally critical parts of the encoder, compiled it for an ARM processor and implemented a hardware accelerator for it on FPGA board using System C.
The encoded frames were then streamed to a PC via ethernet.
This was a part of my studies at TUT.
