I work directly with the Lead Designer to create various products. Products range from small gift items to furniture pieces. We started droist design as collaboration where we merge natural materials with rapid prototyping. While working with The Other Edge, Inc we have had several products licensed as well as shown work at world renown design fairs like the Milan Furniture Fair in Salone Satellite, the New York International Gift Fair, Top Drawer London, and Design Boom Mart Toronto.

Responsibilities included: Assisting high school students with one day projects from the five design disciplines. As the Instructor, I created a project for students to complete in a single day. For the theme of the 5 Senses (2014), students designed hand tools for those with diminished capacity (universal design). For the theme of 2050:The Future (2013), students designed a new mode of transportation. For the theme of Olympics and Sports Movement (2012), students developed new sports in small groups and then designed the equipment needed to play the sport. For the theme of Sustainability (2011), students designed flat pack lighting and used recycled goods. For the theme of Gaming (2010), the students designed a character and the accessories they would need for a trip to Mars. Students get a well rounded understanding of the design process from ideation to model making. I provided demos at various stages of each project.
