Michael Lucas

I was apart of a division of the company called SmartCosmos. It focused on software development using the Agile development process. I conceived and created daily the graphical assets needed both internally for company needs and also for public facing deliverables. Some of the most common work I achieved for SmartCosmos was the UI/UX design, look and feel of websites, web apps, and mobile apps. I also transcended my position occasionally and assisted the front-end developers on my team with the coding and implementation of said websites and mobile applications.

Designed and coded the support pages surrounding the 3Scape creation space. Assisted in the UI/UX development of 3Scape across multiple platforms. Created and assisted in the creation of the branding and identity of 3Scape through the use of Graphic Design, Front-End Web, Tutorial Videos, and Management of Social Media Platforms.

I was responsible for the conceptualization, creation, and printing of corporate logos, t-shirt designs, and other clothing and wearable artwork. This includes prepping artwork for press, prepping artwork for screen printing, and multi-color process printing. I interacted with clients on a daily basis to ensure their order was going as smoothly as possible. I was also in charge of the maintenance and care of the office's electronic and communication solutions.

Responsible for the creation and management of web materials for the University’s website redesign. Conceptualized and published University’s content for social media outlets. Worked with and mastered a CMS called OU Campus.

Created banners, advertisements, posters, marketing proposals, and other such collateral for company and client needs. Participated in updating the current company corporate identity material and manual. Prototyped and aided in the development of a new UI for BoatTrader.com’s mobile app.

I took photographs of various meeting places, classrooms, and events all over campus. I uploaded them to an event and classroom scheduling program called Astra. I also did data entry, event planning, collection, and inventory of most of SAU's property.

I worked to maintain and add to the visual beauty of Southern's hillside campus. Doing jobs from the small, like weeding, to the large, like creating entirely new landscape designs for several new buildings that had recently been constructed.
