Topiary Globe on Museum Drive

With this project, we were to find
a sculpture in Chicago and create a
poster out of it.
I had gone to 31st Beach to find a
this topiary globe that marks the turn
off into the Museum Campus Drive.
It had an old worn look, with the foliage
grown over the top and hanging
off on all sides.
I knocked out the background of
the globe and placed it on a green
background to give it a calm, earthy
feel, contrasting it’s actual structure,
which happens to be metal.
I placed the creator of the globe
at the top, following the curve of the
globe, instead of straight text across to
emphasis it. In the left right corner is
a short blurb of what the structure is.
