Garden Vines
This project had very little limits when it was given. All we were told was to create a typeface. I decided to create a tpyeface that had somewhat of a elvish feel to it.
In beginning this project, I had decided to use a serif style of font, but I did not want a Roman style font, with both thin and thick strokes. I wanted it to be bold and more of a display font than a body.
I used a sanserif font as a base, because they don’t have thick and thin stroke transitions. I then decided that I wanted it to look organic, much like art nouveaux.
As a result, I ended up with a display font with serifs, that seems to tie its roots into the organic curves and feel of garden vines.
