° Evaluate incoming advertising material for image quality and instruction discrepancy while verifying for booking errors in order to traffick ad to vendor
° Format and set type for legal notices in order to provide sizing for sales rep prior to booking with the goal of minimizing customers expense using InDesign, Acrobat, Excel and Word across all Tronc newspapers
° Improve the legal formatting process and develop templates to expedite the process
° Track legal notice work per period to help breakdown of legal notices by product, summarize the number of ads, the amount of space and dollars generated using formulas in Excel
° Train peers to efficiently format legal notices in conjunction with InDesign, Acrobat, Excel and Word
° Review magazine print ready PDF’s for image quality, live area, trim, and bleed size specs are formatted correctly
° Lead designer for Autobarn dealership newsprint advertisements for the Chicago Tribune and Hoy
° Design Chicago Magazine, Naperville Magazine, Splash advertisements and internal/external projects as assigned by manager
° Assist as a backup for translation when Spanish translator is on vacation for advertisement running in Hoy
° Locate and acquire missing or late advertising material to save revenue
° Monitor skype chat with NIIT vendor and respond to inquiries
° Monitor department inbox once a week and respond to inquiries

° Work directly with owner and client to execute design
° Design logos, menus, postcards, banners, tickets, T-shirts, flyers, posters and invites
° Prepare final design files for printing

° Design graphics and edited photos for BarcodesInc website under the direction of the Graphic Designer and Marketing Developer
° Assist in the design process of product catalog creating a new layout, placing images and content
° Research and create mock-ups for the improvement of BarcodesInc website
° Edit invoices using Acrobat

° Take part in the hiring process and training of new employees
° Offer and explain Old Navy Credit Card
° Update store signage and perform markdowns
° Assist the store visual merchandiser updating displays
