I'm a skilled Illustrator and Designer with the technical troubleshooting skills to match!
Ever since I was a kid, I loved to draw, build, create, and repair. I enrolled in a principals of design and drawing I class my sophomore year of college to fill a general education requirement, and it was during those months that I re-sparked the creative drive within myself that I hadn't intrigued in years. I came to the conclusion back then that not everyone has the opportunity in life to pursue a career in which they're able to put a natural talent to use. I decided after that semester that I would dedicate my collegiate major and future endeavors to pursue a career in design.
The past two and half years my girlfriend and I were living in Connecticut as she completed her graduate program. As there isn't a whole lot going on design-career wise in Northern Connecticut and West Massachusetts, I worked as a technician with one of the most successful companies in CT. I learned a great deal about the technical and sales side of the production business, and am very grateful for the experience; as it provided my girlfriend and I with a comfortable living situation, as well as a wealth of knowledge regarding networking, printing machinery operation and troubleshooting, and computer applications/systems.
Now that I am back in Maryland, I am very eager to begin my career in the production design and graphic design industries, as there are many more opportunities to do so here than in New England. I know that my portfolio for now is sparse, as I gathered what I could from old folders and projects, but I am currently working on adding new material, and showing that my knack for design and illustration is always there!
