Martin Nevarez is a Chicago native with a B.A. in Advertising Communications who currently resides in the neighborhood of Avondale. His ideal world is one where all forms of art are appreciated and connected to the consumer before selling the idea and benefits of a product. His goal is to help keep all the creative ideals alive and be passed down to the next generation for molding, so that they can keep the world going as a strong and beautiful paradise. He also enjoys researching all the things that sparks his curiosity, to enjoy the beautiful art form in video games, and production videos on sites like YouTube or Vimeo.
Martin became fascinated with the world of advertising at a young age, mostly through television commercials for toy products. He wanted to know what the process was to make certain objects come to life, how did the camera capture the juiciness of a Big Mac, and why certain songs and voice overs were clever and tugged at the heartstrings. He developed writing through an interest for reporting school and neighborhood news. He created and was a student editor for his elementary school paper, went on to become the student editor of his high school paper, and eventually wrote for his college newspaper.
It was during his college years that Martin found another love: music. That's when he started playing shows with bands he helped formed, designed posters, creating and running musical events, promoting these events through social media, and even writing and reviewing other shows as well. His love for writing, designing, posting led him to pursue a career in advertising. Incorporating all his skills into a job that he knew he would come to love. Martin still loves to write, design, post, and play musical instruments.
