Joint Powers Insurance Authority

Joint Powers Insurance Authority were looking to find the most viable solution: whether to upgrade their existing building, build a new structure, or buy and renovate a building in a new location. First, we created the program and space plans for the three options. Second, after they chose to do a major renovation of an existing building, we created the presentation for the board of trustees to see that all of their programmatic needs could be met within it. We then went on to finish the next stages. Since JPIA deals with the insurance for the water agencies of California, the concept developed from the flow of water through the changing landscapes of California - from the mountains down to the ocean. Certified LEED Silver the project earned ANOVA a sustainability award.
