My background includes over 10 years working in usability and user assistance in a variety of roles including experience designer, usability/UX researcher, UI/UX, interaction designer, web designer, consultant, and technical illustrator. I have worked on complex desktop applications, web applications, sales force software, mobile websites, and green field product design projects. I have worked in the technology, e-commerce, education, law, smart home design, and transportation spaces.
Drawing on my prior career in education I taught an undergraduate visual design basics course and led several workshops on design thinking, ideation, visualization, UX sketching, and sketching for business. Demonstrating and evangelizing the power behind collaborative ideation has been a passion since I first learned of design thinking at RISD.
As a UX-team-of-one in an Agile development environment I spearheaded a Lean UX research and design model, socializing an updated view on the user experience business model within my department and across the company.
