Mark Hogan

A very creative professional individual who can use Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Flash and also QuarkXpress to create interesting visual and print friendly images, pages and designs.

A vast knowledge of the Print Industry which started in 1980 when I did my 4-year Apprenticeship at Waterlows in Dunstable, part of the British Printing Corporation under Robert Maxwell.

After working at Waterlows for 14 years and being unfortunately made redundant I moved onto becoming the Manager of the Apple Mac Department in the Repro Department at Alpine Press, where I helped to train and develop some of the younger staff members with training and development.

When I left Alpine Press I moved into Newspaper production creating advertisements for various customers from restaurants, motor companies and local travel agencies. But also helped to develop the Bedfordshire Property Section within the Bedfordshire on Sunday newspaper group, which ended up being up to 100 pages every week when at its best. Quite an achievement.

Then I went on to Archant Herts/Cambs where learnt how to create web banners using Adobe Flash , some of which can be seen on the ONLINE section on this portfolio.

What do I bring. A vast knowledge of Print and someone who can help develop, train your staff to a high level and make them create interesting and creative artwork.
