Plexus plays in four market sectors: Healthcare/Life Sciences, Defense/Security/Aerospace, Networking/Communications, and Industrial/Commercial. Most of my work was focused on the Healthcare/Life Sciences sector, and included a large amount of GUI design and end-user/ workflow analysis.
Responsible for seeing multiple programs from inception to launch, including:
• St. Jude Medical “EnligHTN,” an RF ablation generator used to administer renal denervation treatment of hypertension. Lead designer on team responsible for overall enclosure design direction, on-product artwork creation, as well as touch- screen GUI interface development.
• PhysioControl “TrueCPR,” a CPR assistance device. Responsible for enclosure design direction, on-product artwork creation, as well as GUI interface development. Product received a 2013 EMSWorld Innovation Award.
• Echo360 “SafeCapture HD,” a classroom content recording device. Responsible for enclosure design and branding execution.
• Qiagen “QIAensemble Decapper,” a mechatronic DNA sample preparation device. Responsible for touch-screen GUI interface refinements, on-product artwork creation, and selected component design.

Responsible for seeing multiple programs from inception to launch, including:
• Thirty-five SKU reinvent of RCP’s material handling product category, with responsibility for all aspects of product design. Considerable contribution to creation of design criteria and product specifications. Also responsible for all on-product artwork and branding. From a capital investment standpoint, this was the largest program in RCP’s history.
• Twelve-SKU commercial vacuum program, with responsibility for product design and all on-product / consumables artwork. Provided oversight of Asian vendor’s engineering team, via email and factory visits, to ensure correct execution from a design standpoint. Worked with Marketing Communications department as the Engineering department’s liaison to provide content for vacuum troubleshooting guide on RCP website.
• Four-SKU cleaning cart platform designed specifically for the Asia-Pacific market. Conducted end user interviews and observational research at multiple sites in Hong Kong & China. US and Asian utility patents pending for double-swing trash compartment door.
• Four-SKU line of high-aesthetic Infinity™ Smoking Management receptacles, which launched within eight months of project kickoff and displaced competitors from catalogers. US utility patent for funnel-feed top design.
Other accomplishments include:
• Management of outside technical publication firm’s development of instruction manuals on all projects. Provided copy content, desired layout, and technical guidance for manuals. Oversaw proofreading and directed all corrections.
• Conducting in-house Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop classes for the ID team.
• Implementation of Wacom Cintiq technology within ID team, and giving demos to team members.
• Streamlining / creation of new mold artwork forms, as well as a logo library.
• Implementation of Skype and webcam technology between global teams to improve communications and save money.

For 16 months, was the lone designer for the entire BernzOmatic division. Chosen as one of two recipients of BernzOmatic's "Top Performer" Award for 2004 after only 4 months on the job.
Responsible for seeing multiple programs from inception to launch, including:
• Lenox “Tanktote” and “Gaugeguard” Pro Hose products, which were granted a US utility patent and were budgeted for $6-8 million in sales for 2006.
• BernzOmatic outdoor patio heater product line.
• BernzOmatic flexible utility lighter product line. Responsible for communication with outside engineering firm on all issues related to design.

Hired as the primary designer for Premium & Sourced Product.
Accomplishments include:
• Being one of a two-person design team to develop the concept for the next generation “Grill2Go,” which was rated the top concept for its product category by Char-Broil's sales representatives at the 2004 CB Rep Council meeting.
• Creation of four separate, store-specific on-product artwork schemes for the entire BTO grill lineup.
• Considerable experience fabricating prototypes for BTO line reviews. Experience with foam, renshape, and sheet metal.

Experience working on multiple watch brands, including Fossil, DKNY, Diesel, Emporio Armani, Eddie Bauer, Billabong, and Columbia Sportswear Company. Latter half of tenure was devoted to premium brands.
Accomplishments include:
• Multiple SKUS launched for DKNY, Emporio Armani, Fossil, and Billabong.
• Considerable experience studying fashion trends and executing color studies.
• Experience working with well-known, high-end private label clients.
• Considerable experience with Photoshop and Illustrator completing comps, creating dial layouts, and developing custom fonts.
