Designer, writer, amateur historian and dedicated bread baker, Mari has been involved with information design and publication design (in all its myriad forms) throughout her practice. Clients have included Digital C, National Institute of Health, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, The Case Connection Zone, Artist Carl Pope, and Internationals Public Schools. She received a 2013 Ohio Arts Council Grant for Individual Excellence with one of her principle collaborators, Mary Jo Toles. She has also taught at The Cleveland Institute of Art, Parsons School of Design, University of California (Los Angeles), and U Cal (Santa Barbara).
Current projects include UX and UI for 2 new apps, information design on the progress of The Cleveland Consent Decree, a series on information visualization, and a fierce wild yeast starter for her crusty sourdough loaves. Rye is her personal favorite, with Tartine City Loaf a close second.
