I graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelor of Science in Game Design and worked as a Lead
Programmer for G2 Game Design creating 8 different demos for game utilizing Unreal Engine 4 in each one.
I wanted to expand my skill set so decided to work for Iconixx where I was able to use SQL and DB2 to create an effective solution for companies to take the commissions and sales that their employees made and create a payment calculation for each case and overall employee groups.
After this period, I was able to start developing websites for a startup in order to refine the web development skills using HTML5, Wordpress, and PHP that I have had since high school and I learned more about data management using SQL.
Working QA for both Activision on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard as well as Epic Games on the release version of Unreal Engine 5 helped refine my QA skills and introduced me to the testing pipeline and JIRA.
I finally landed a position as a Technical Game Designer at High Voltage Software working on Fortnite where I was able to apply my skills as a Unreal Engine expert and contribute to a popular game in the live service environment.
For me, learning is key to any position and I believe that any opportunity that I have in the future to learn and improve myself as well as help others would be beneficial and create a worthwhile experience for everyone.
