Zappos Outfit Builder

I worked as a User Research College intern for Zappos from June 2014 to September 2014. I worked on a team with other interns performing usability studies and user research to build an insider tool.
A team of 9 handled the entire process from receiving user requirements, to developing a prioritized backlog (mockups, prototypes, user stories, acceptance criteria), to planning work and managing changing requirements based on user feedback, to front-end and back-end development. The team operated using agile project management in a scrum framework.
As the only user researcher on my team, I interviewed stylists, buyers, site merchandisers, and photographers to determine a set of requirements to improve the existing tool. I presented my findings to the Outfit Builder team of interns, and based on my recommendations, they implemented new features to streamline the Outfit Builder process. Due to the time constraints of the internship, I prioritized which features should be implemented.
