An experienced industrial designer, Marcus Bosch leads boschwerks innovation group, which specializes in bringing clients’ ideas to reality. From startups with vague notions to experienced entrepreneurs to corporations looking to launch entire product lines, boschwerks helps concepts and products take form. Boschwerks offers services including design charettes, concept ideation, prototyping, 3D CAD development, as well as local and overseas production liaison. The company maintains partnerships with graphic and brand identity specialists, marketing professionals, engineers, patent lawyers, and investors so that the process of reaching the marketplace is seamless. Projects spread across the hardware, consumer, medical, electronics, housewares, construction, lawn care, sporting and technology industries, to name a few.
In addition to consulting Marcus has been involved with several startups the including the most recent, Swingbyte, a real-time swing data capture device that connects to your iOs/Android smart phone or tablet.
Marcus also serves as an adjunct faculty member at UIC and has taught at the School of the Art Institute’s Designed Objects Program. He has instructed both graduate and undergraduate students in materials and manufacturing, sustainability, prototyping, and design. Born in Canada, Marcus earned his degree in Industrial Design from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. He, his wife, two daughters, and two dogs live on the South Side of Chicago.
