Studied Plastics Technology, Ergonomics, Model Making, Wood Furniture Design, and Technical Writing. My Senior Design project was to develop a vehicle that the exterior styling was dictated by the function of the interior. It was crucial to find and prove that an existing vehicle needs a great deal of improvement. A police cruiser became the obvious choice seeing as they are not designed but retro-fitted and put through all kinds of abuse. Many efficient solutions were explored, functions were vastly improved while retaining a sleek form, both inside and out. A clay model was sculpted and cast into a mold then transferred to a fiberglass shell then topped with 4 coats of automotive paint. Project was sponsored by Johnson Controls.
