Involved a wide range of media across 8 main projects within which were mini projects that students were given free range on: 1) Mark Making 2) Typography 3) Story writing/illustration/binding 4) Book Illustration and Front cover design 5) Video editing 6) Sculpture and photography 7) Group work 8) Ligature/ Final Project 3 years of exploration, to discover, practice and perfect skills and techniques. To find our 'niche', our creative language and what inspires our work. Graduated with an Upper Second Class degree (2:1) with Honours.

Skills learnt: 1) Screen printing 2) Lino printing 3) Fabric printing 4) Object construction 5) Anatomy (dissection and illustration) 6) Life classes 7) Adobe software usage 8) Collage 9) Photograms 10) Book writing and illustration - Printing, front cover design and book binding. This Foundation year helped me to realise that it was illustration that I wanted to study at university.
