Brief: select a mechanism and build an A4 demonstrator to show your understanding of the mechanical principal.

I selected a linear ratchet and built this mechanism. By moving the top most handle from left to right, the mechanism raises the toothed rack by one-tooth increments. Follow the link for a video of the system in action.
