I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a BA in Journalism (Visual Communications option) and two minors in french and architecture. After graduation, I worked as a graphic design intern for a local advertising agency in Puerto Rico for 8 months. I specialize mainly in print graphic design, but I am interested in motion graphics and packaging design. This past summer, I had the honor to work as a design intern at Badger & Winters in New York City. I am currently working on my graduate thesis in communications design at Pratt Institute.
I am an enthusiastic designer and I love to tell and express stories through visual narrative. As a graduate design student, I have looked beyond making things "look pretty" and focused more on how to strongly communicate an idea through great design. I am inspired by everyday objects as well as by the work of fellow colleagues, Swiss design and music.
While in this graduate program, I've developed great interest in motion design. I love how sound/music, rhythm and graphics can come together to create something exciting and unexpected. This is why my graduate thesis will be focusing on sound visualization. My goal is to create a design methodology to help designers and artists create meaningful and engaging visuals for music.
After I graduate, I hope to work for an advertising agency or a small design studio in NYC, California, Pennsylvania or London!
