ABOUT
This undertaking was part of a limited call for proposals to undertake the design for the 336-hectare Bellomonte Golf Resort project in the Playas del Este neighbourhood of Havana. The Bellomonte site presented a significant opportunity to deliver the first new golf resort community in Cuba since before the 1959 Revolution. As such, the importance of “getting it right” was paramount.
EKISTICS won the bid and the Master Plan was officially approved by the Cuban planning authorities. The design was accepted and embraced by both UTIT and the Cuban Institute of Physical Planning.
