Senior Copywriter for the Collectibles, Home Décor and Coins divisions. My job in a nutshell: our incredibly talented product developers dream the products up and then I get to sell them. Because we are direct marketers who sell directly to target affinities, I get to understand and talk to many different yet highly passionate groups.
• Responsible for writing, editing, and integrating internal and external client changes to 1,500+ pieces of advertising a year for the extremely diverse Collectibles, Home Décor and Coins divisions.
• My original content is the foundation for all iterations across all channels including digital, web and email.
• Duties include: creating complete direct mail packages, mailers, space ads, digital ads, and collateral material under a highly compressed timeline; preparing completed materials for submission to licensors; pitching new creative approaches and tests; account management.
• Lead copywriter on all initial advertising for new market segment that has grown to over $10 million in two years.
• Creative test leader with successful packages receiving lifts of 15-25%.
• Deep understanding of copy standards for a wide array of world-class licensed brands including: Disney, Coca-Cola, NFL, MLB, Budweiser, Jack Daniels, Sons of Anarchy, The Beatles, KISS, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Rocky Horror, Zippo, and USMC. Proven ability to speak in the appropriate brand voice while maintaining the Bradford voice as well.
• Supervise Junior Copywriter and edit/proof/mentor to ensure consistency of voice and quality.
