whilst at Witcher Crawford, I was approached by By-Plan Associates to take on the role running the graphics department. Working for many developers such as Charles Church, Bloor Homes, Amber Homes and Redrow Homes we produced drawings for planning, construction and CGIs for sales purposes. My role meant I had to produce 3D architectural models and images to illustrate the proposal for client and planning committee presentations although I spent an equal amount of time working up detailed design for various construction details.
Architectural Assistant
Witcher Crawford Architects

I started this job initially on a temporary three week contract and managed to prove myself enough to continue my employment a further four months. Witcher Crawford work exclusively with High end residential homes to create one-off beautifully crafted homes. My role is as a technician to assist the architect throughout the construction process, producing detailed drawings for every part of the construction process. In addition to this I have taken on the role once again of a Graphic Artist, creating visuals and redesigning the company portfolio.
Michael Phillips Architects - August 2007- Present Role: CAD Technician, Digital Visualiser and Graphic Artist I started work for Michael Phillips Architects when i finished University to further my knowledge of the industry. My duties include producing both 2D and 3D drawings for construction of multi-million pound projects as well as producing work for planning applications. I have worked on both interior and an exterior of some of the country’s leading hotels. I have had experience working on eco-homes, with fully integrated energy saving systems including whole-house ventilation, rainwater harvesting, ground source heat pumps and solar panels. Most recently my work has revolved around the procurement of new projects; this involves more graphic, presentation and sales skills to win projects.
Iscape Home Offices - August 2006- January 2007 Role: Design Consultant and Industry Researcher Design consultant for a company specialising in garden offices and lifestyle buildings. Duties included helping with the development of both the branding of the company and design of the product. Jobs included research into industry rivals, materials and marketing for a range of products that I designed.
NMSI Science Museum - August 2005- February 2007 Role: Tour Guide and Science Education Co-ordinator Part-time job working around University term times which gave me the chance to work at my presentation and public speaking skills. I had to develop activities for “Kid’s Club” that would incorporate the setting of the Science museum as well as act as a tour guide for groups sometimes in excess of 150.
