As a 22 year old college senior, I face a future of many challenges that I am eager to confront. Often, I find myself taking the road less traveled. The road less traveled is sometimes fraught with barricades and uncharted terrain. However, I run towards the fire and remain calm. My curiosity and determination have led me to a dignified part of my life, where I am pleased and making progress. My graduation date is set for May 2016 where I will be receiving a B.S. in Health Care Management from Appalachian State University. My courses are listed on my LinkedIn page.
Throughout my college career I have been successful in balancing several aspects of my life: full-time student, part-time jobs, and multiple internships. During my previous spring semester I interned at a health clinic local to Boone, N.C. There, I directed and assisted in the implementation of new standards and protocols in order for the health clinic to attest for Patient Centered Medical Home and Meaningful Use.
Summer of 2015, I have been working full-time as an Instructional Design Intern for Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, a leading corporation in healthcare information technology. Here, I am not limited in work by my job title. Instead, I have been included in a variety of projects—some involving combined efforts with other teams and departments. Most of my work consists of editing content and technicality of eLearning courses for an array of products provided by Allscripts. Through these projects, I now am an experienced user of Adobe Captivate, Microsoft Excel, and several other business programs. Other projects include organizing results of client satisfaction feedback, product compatibility with new innovations and sharing novel ideas as patent submissions.
I am seeking permanent full-time employment to apply my interest and experience with healthcare information technology and medical informatics. Please reach out to me. If I cannot be of service, I may know others who can meet your needs.
