Yeontaek Lee

The Product Design Department concerns with the whole process of new product development, especially in the understanding of production process, cost constraints, material selection, and its manufacturing and scientific engineering principles supporting the design concept. In this department, the process of pragmatic problem solving is taught through project development. It encourages students to have hand-on experience in communicating with clients and manufacturers, and managing projects. Teamwork, communication & presentation skills are nurtured and practiced all through the semester.

Educational goals of the Department of Industrial Design are: to equip with state of the art education system in the wake of technological advancement, to be acceptable with new values emerging, and to cultivate the problem solving skills for students to become as professional industrial designers. As multimedia network design has become a core of overall industry, developing industrial design leaders has become a long-term goal of the Department of Industrial Design. To meet such a goal, the Department creates development strategy on a step by step basis. Based on the strategy for educational methodology and programs for students, the Department is fully committed to standardize operations, to improve educational environment, and to differentiate from other competitors.
