Lee Farkas is a Life Drawing major at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. He has been drawing for at least 18 years. Pulling inspiration from comic books and cartoons, he has known his whole life that he would end up in the art/drawing field. Lee combines surrealism with realism and typically adds a hint of fantasy. Most of his images show a darker undertone that is usually balanced both visually and thematically by bright almost luminescent highlights. Lee uses dry mediums such as graphite, charcoal or pastel most of the time in order to establish as much control as possible when rendering. Lee hopes to find success in freelance and gallery work upon graduation in Spring, 2017.
