Layla is a design director currently leading product management, design and product development for the Tommy Bahama and Penguin footwear teams. She has 13 years of experience working in the fashion and lifestyle industries for well-known brands including Timberland, Sperry, and New Balance. Both professional and personally, she is passionate about supporting social and sustainable enterprises.
She has an undergraduate degree in Industrial Design and a Master’s in Design Management, both from Pratt Institute. While working on her master’s, Layla co-founded the Pratt Institute Graduate Net Impact Chapter as part of Net Impact’s pilot Impact Design initiative. Since completing her master's Layla has volunteered as a pro-bono consultant for Net Impact Service Corps and serves as an active member of the Net Impact NYC Professional Chapter through their programs committee.
