With the unique combination of athlete/artist with an intense passion for Athletic Footwear I am a perfect fit for a position as an Athletic Footwear Designer.
As a former collegiate All-American in both soccer and track and field, and collegiate track and field coach for five years, I have a large breadth of knowledge about the elements athletes are looking for in their footwear. A student of the Arts and sports business graduate, I am cognizant of what is visually appealing, and how the consumer behaves. As an athlete, full-time employee, and student, I am accustomed to hard work and know what it means to put forth the best possible effort within a team setting.
I am in touch with style changes and new technologies, as well as the trends in color and material. My designs take into account my experience as a consumer, athlete, and artist.
Throughout these past few years I have been enrolled in the Athletic Footwear Design program at the Fashion Institute of Technology. With an Undergraduate Degree in Studio Art and Master’s Degree in Sports Business, both from New York University, I have built a strong foundation on which to build my sneaker design expertise.
With courses such as, Ergonomics for Athletic Footwear, Athletic Footwear Sketching, Materials for Athletic Footwear and Athletic Footwear Drafting, the FIT Athletic Footwear Design Program has given me the skills to combine my artistic abilities, consumer knowledge, and athletic experience into functional and fashionable footwear.
