Freelance Designer
MyCognition
May 2014 - Present (10 years 7 months)
Within this role I have been creating mass imagery for their upcoming educational fair. Their has been the clear concept of promoting their gaming product allowing the 'player' to improve their cognitive responses through different scenarios as well as promoting the recently developed company. I have had the opportunity to be able to create adverts, promotional postcards, posters as well as small merchandise such as stickers and coasters. Through my experience so far it has really helped me learn more about how you have to design for the customer, rather than having a fixed vision.

Design and Marketing Assistant
RefME
Mar 2014 - Present (10 years 9 months)
Starting off as a design and marketing intern at the beginning of March 2014 which was achieved by going through an interview stage I was asked to stay on until mid April 2014. With this I ran my own pilot marketing campaign involving student ambassadors at different university's in order to gather knowledge about what marketing strategies worked best. With this I also designed all the promotional material to go along with this, as well as being able to input into the web design, and android design. After this burst, and reaching over 10,000 downloads of our product in 2 days, you could see what worked and could therefore develop into a larger as well as international marketing campaign.
From here and with my new role in the company my new main aims starting from the beginning of May 2014 will be to:
1) Manage AUS campaign
2) SEO outreach to UK/AUS/US - this involves contacting the Universities and getting them to publish about us on their University website
3) Planning / recruiting for UK/US sept / oct launch

Re-design of Falmouth English Society Logo
Feb 2011 - Mar 2011 (1 month)
This was a sketch re-design of the current logo and creating a vectorised image which they could use over a range of mediums. It was based around the crest and the ink quill - great imagery when referring to an English society.

Intern
The Bulletin Magazine
Jan 2010 - Feb 2011 (1 year 1 month)
Within this internship, over a week period, I did this along side our French school equivalent. With this we both got to work on individual articles and the way they were structured - also the grids that they used within the magazine and the advertising side and how that all works within there business. After the end of this pilot programme for combining the two schools through internships, we had to create a presentation which was presented to over 100 people as well as the Brussels Mayor - so this was a great experience when it came to both the magazine but also public speaking.
