Over 13 years of work experience and 11+ years in IT Industry, as an User Experience Designer. Professionally I grew up implementing design solutions by following process and creating new adaptive techniques in traditional, agile and lean environments. Having educated and coming from a design school, I’m equipped to follow and create new design process where necessary.
In the nascent stages of my career, one of my manager taught me a secret that design process is transient and evolutionary and keeps adapting to new environment. I stick to this statement whenever I think I'm deviating away from conventional Design Process :)
When I was new to IT industry, it took me a couple of years to transform myself from an ‘abstract’ designer, to an ‘objective oriented’ designer. I am very grateful to my managers, who helped me grow in the ‘Enterprise’ path; I was able to successfully transform business requirements, to tangible deliverables. Now, it has been about ten years, and I've grown thoroughly in my ‘strategic thinking’ and creating suitable design ‘frameworks’ at both enterprise level and product level. That's right where I stand in my professional journey.
Recently, the IT industry both product and enterprise applications have been strongly influenced by data. Data is considered as a primary source of research input and has been influencing design to a considerable extent. I have been thinking about it and strongly believe as a designer and user advocate, I can bridge the gaps between data science, business and end user input.
Academically, I was an above average student at school and won lots of competitions in athletics, Karate and dance. My Bachelor’s degree was in Architecture, where my mindset was attuned to both critical and creative thinking and conceptual design solutions. During Post Graduation in Information and Digital Design, I learnt the Golden philosophy of 'learning by doing things' and 'Design Thinking’.
