Before I became a fashion designer, I studied exercise sciences and physiology. Its my love of science and desire for knowledge that helps me to be more innovative and creative with my designs. This is why I really enjoy designing active wear apparel. Its the technology and performance aspects of the clothing that inspire me and I am always looking for new ways to help the customer perform better. I am always ready for new challenges and I hope to continue to learn and grow throughout my apparel design career.
For the past 5 years, I have been working at Perry Ellis International as a Men's Golf Apparel designer. Some brands being high profile and high end lifestyle brands, others being tailored for a specific customer and some for off price distribution. When designing, I always emphasize a high level of quality and ensure that the product is on-trend for the customer. Working my way up the fashion design ranks from Assistant Designer to Designer in a constantly evolving atmosphere. I have been lucky to work and grow with a great design team and I have learned everything I know from them.
