About
Kirsten “K.R.” Sexton is an illustrator + designer currently residing in Carlsbad, CA. Her favorite methods to create are with pen & ink, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, clay, and video. Unlike many other snazzy artists who started making art “ever since they could pick up a crayon”, K.R.’s fascination with drawing didn’t begin until her senior year of high school. She took her first real art class during community college at age 20. It was then that she discovered her love for working with ink pens. Fast forward a few years, countless bad drawings, and one B.F.A. degree in Illustration later, she is finally able to create the art that she has always wanted to. Upon opening her own online art shop in September of 2015, her artwork has sold in over 40 states in America, as well as Canada, Germany, Chile, Ireland, Croatia, and Portugal, as well as others. Besides creating artwork, she also live streams her artistic process, makes videos sharing her knowledge about being an Etsy seller, and manages her shop all on her own.
She is currently seeking freelance illustration opportunities. -
